APD Tactic 1 - Post Your Review

Blogs are one of your most powerful tools available for promoting your affiliate products. Every website needs to have a least one blog. Think of your blog as a very powerful satellite radio station. When you post a new message on your blog - that message is distributed world wide. The feed services pick it up, the search engines pick it up, the Web2.0 sites and directories pick it up. All of these services want to hear what you have to say on your blog.

Now the question is, what is your radio stations/blogs message? Is this message quality information? What is the target market of the information? What is the general appeal of your information? Is your message just a promo or is it thought provoking? Does your message breed controversy? The point is what sort of message are you conveying in your blog? If your message is junk, duplicate content, or spam - well you will get what you sow.

Important: Title your blog article "The Name of the Product" Review, along with a sub headline that will entice a visitor to click on the listing and come read your review. Something like, " A Critical Review of "Product Name" turns up some surprising results".

What happens then is when a person is looking to purchase a particular product and they want some social proof, or "another persons view", they will do a search for "The Name of the Product" Review" and guess who's blog will be listed. The advantage of a product review on a blog is when the visitor ends up on your page after a search engine search, many times they are buyers - just looking for confirmation that the product is legit.

APD Tactic 2 - Post Your Review on Free Blogs

In addition to your own blog, or if you don't have a blog, there are many free blog services where you can post your review. The important point when posting a product review, is to not post a sales ad. Find bad things as well as good things to mention. Then your review won't come off as basically a commercial, but more of an objective analysis of what the product can do. This approach will be more favorably received within the Web2.0 community.

Here are a few services where you can signup for free and blog away. While the page rank may not necessarily carry over to your blog, the search engine spiders are very active on these sites and will lead to your blog and website being spidered and indexed into the search engines. The more blogs you post your review(s) on, the more traffic you will drive to your affiliate link.

APD Tactic 3 - Submit and Promote Your Blogs RSS Feeds

If you have a blog, it is important to go to FeedBurner and enter your blogs rss feed and "burn" your blog into the system. Provide RSS Feed tags to make it easy for visitors to add your feed to their favorite feed aggregator service. One thing better than having a visitor bookmark or tag your site, is for the visitor to like your articles and information so much that they add your rss feed to their favorite feed aggregator like My Yahoo, or My Google or MyMSN or the countless others out there. APD Tactic 5 - Add Blog Comments

While the vast majority of blogs utilize what is known as "no follow" tags, which basically tell the search engines not to follow that link, there is a growing number of blogs utilizing the "do follow" wordpress plugin. Essentially what that means is if you leave a comment with a link - the search engine spiders will follow that link back to your website. Using this technique you can obtain one way links back to your website - increasing your "link popularity".

To use this method you need to post meaningful comments and not just some sort of "spammy" type of comment. Add quality content - along with your link - and you will be fine.
